Nancy Pelosi Thanks George Floyd For 'Sacrificing His Life' For Justice

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was condemned on Tuesday saying that George Floyd, a Minneapolis man murdered by a police officer in 2020, "sacrificed his life" for racial justice, a statement some critics called "ignorant" and "tone deaf."

"Thank you George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice. For being there to call out to your mom, how heartbreaking was that, call out for you mom, 'I can't breathe,'" Pelosi said at a press conference hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus following the verdict. "But because of you and because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice, your name will always be synonymous with justice."

Still, there was a significant backlash to her original comments, with people pointing out that Floyd did not die willingly for the causes of police reform and racial justice

Floyd was an evil, sinful, selfish, moronic specimen who lived only for his carnal appetites. During his lifetime Floyd spread nothing but his own personal brand of moral sewage.

You know better than to ask such a rhetorical question.

I’ve met people that were not physically attractive, or by any measure “pretty”, that were very nice people with wonderful hearts, and a real sense of helpfulness and kindness towards their fellow man. Nancy Pelousy is not anything like them, other than ugly.

I need to go back and rewatch “The Jerk” again. I don’t think I have seen it since it came out.

I’m not sure that movie would make sense anymore. I have a feeling that watching it today would bring a response like, “Hey, I don’t get why this is funny. This guy is way smarter than 90% of the people I see everyday.”
