Opossum Slide:
All opossums are from hell. I had one crawl up my garage dryer vent once and get stuck. I didn’t notice and fired up the dryer. I DID notice a funny smell 20 minutes later… then noticed the long tail sticking out the back of the dryer. Neither hubby nor Animal Control could pry that thing out of the vent. Animal Control accused me of killing a protected animal (yes, they are “protected” in CA).
Finally, they got him out and washed out the dryer exhaust and drum. Once in a while, when I did laundry, I still caught a whiff of opossum.
Several years ago my neighbor caught a huge opossum in a live trap that had been plaguing his chickens. I’d seen them in the woods at a distance or dead on the road all my life. But never close up. Dang thing was positively prehistoric. I was actually shocked at how nasty it was. It got turned loose in a secluded woods. They are not protected in Illinois.
That’s disgusting!

Animal slide... AC are rude. I once ran over a “stick” in the middle of my driveway only to look back and see the “stick” had curled up.
My neighbor came out and killed the California King Snake with a shovel then called AC. AC came out and yelled at ME for running over the good snake. 😠 I was kind of perturbed at my neighbor for doing the whole..”she did it” finger pointing.
I decided I would never call them out after that.
Speaking of wild animals.. did you see that vid of the bobcat in a neighborhood? The guy throws it?

And the guy is so cheery.. does a “good morning!” to his neighbor, sets the coffee down on his car, notices it needs washing.
