That’s so funny! My husband is from Venice, CA and I am originally from a small farming town in southeast Missouri, just north of Memphis, TN.

There’s been quite a bit of discussion about our names. I come from a long line of mimaws, nanas, mawmaws and such. My husband says no way to any of those.

I have five sisters who have all had grandkids before me. They are the mimis, nanas, and mimaws.

For my birthday two weeks ago, one sister gave me a wall decoration shaped like a house that says, “There’s no place like grandma’s”.

Well, that sealed the deal and I shall hereafter be known as Grandma:) DH will be Papa.

You are so traditional, which is cool. My grandma name was “grandma” :) I would mention however many dads names are “papa” I’d suggest “Grand Papa” it is more grand.
