Nephew in Hospital with COVID (Vanity)
Me ^ | 22 July 2021 | Me

I took my nephew, Devon, to the hospital Sunday night, and we found that he has a serious case of Covid lung (Dr's words). He had been resting as comfortably as can be expected. Alert, responsive and aware of what was happening. He was using a BIPAP machine with a full face mask, and doing better. Until this morning.

He apparently was struggling to breath more, so the Dr intubated him, and he is now has a ventilator breathing for him. I am praying that this will oxygenate his body sufficiently while it fights off the infection.

Does anyone know current info on survival of Covid patients once intubated these days in mid-2021? It has to better for people with no co-mordities.

Prayers up for him.

If anyone catches Covid, they need to start the nebulizing food grade diluted (with Medical sterile water) hydrogen peroxide 4x a day up to 1 hr a day just to keep it out of the lungs. Have them do it alone in their quarantine room. It will prevent covid getting in there. Can add liquid iodine to the mix. Dr mercola has detailed instructions.

There are excellent support groups on reddit, many survivors telling their stories (vents) over and over again
for those who need hope.
They try to encourage others but never give weird medical advice like here. Most of them became long haulers, sadly.

Google r/covidlonghaulers

and also r/covid-19Positive

Some of the kindest most supportive people you could find.

Your nephew appears to be 19 days into the fight that kicks into high gear around day 10, so he’s near or at hump-day of a disease than runs 28 days on average. He’s on his fourth day hospitalized, the average is 8-10 (a few days longer for survivors), so he should start responding positively to treatment very, very soon.

19 days is an important metric. If the virus is in the bone marrow and killing immature erythrocytes (red blood cells), there won't be replacements. The RBCs have a nominal 19 day life span. Oxygen transport drops as the dying RBCs are removed and not replaced.

Are you saying that doctors can ignore the FDA risk factor requirements for monoclonal antibody infusion and can prescribe it early for anyone who is COVID positive and symptomatic? If that’s the case, there should be almost no one dying from COVID. That information needs to be much better known amongst the public.

Your nephew is in serious trouble and you should be insisting on convalescent plasma therapy.

Did they give him anything to treat it when he first got sick?

Nope. Oregon is not allowing it. He is on a state health plan (not working), so he’s stuck.

How in the world does society allow this to happen? No treatment for someone quickly dying. We are definitely on our own.

Go online and Google HCQ without a prescription.

Thank you. I’ve been through four (two Month) rounds of Chemotherapy since I was diagnosed at age 52. Turning 68 next Tuesday. I have been very fortunate.

Along the way I was also diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) which is more problematic than my original CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) diagnosis, but it hasn’t reared its ugly head.

The closest I ever got to buying the Farm was when I was hit with the multiple Lung Infections which happened about six years ago.

Although we are currently residing in MS, I still fly to CA to see my Oncologist. I figure the guy has kept me alive for over fifteen years so I stick with the notion that you don’t change Horses in the middle of a Stream.

I will continue to Pray for the young man who was afflicted by Covid. Knowing many People who have had it, I am amazed how differently it affects People. Some shrugged it off, others were sick for weeks and one friend was Hospitalized.

Google “flccc” and read and immediately print out their treatment protocols. Give them to the lead doctor and insist he follow them. They CAN and WILL save his life.

If I get covid, I’ll curl up with my legs and arms twitching like a cockroach sprayed with RAID.
