I don’t remember why I stopped going to movies but that might have been the main consideration without consciously acknowledging it. I recall thinking that I didn’t care what happened to almost anybody I saw on the big screen and that many characters in movies just irritated me with their vacuous dialogue and behaviour. I left more than one movie after I finished my popcorn which made me think I was just going to the movies for the popcorn. So when I had a craving for theatre popcorn, I’d just go there, buy the popcorn, come home and watch an old DVD again or something I had PVR’d.
