An Alabama doctor is taking a bold stance in the efforts to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19.
Dr. Jason Valentine, a physician at Mobile’s Diagnostic and Medical Clinic Infirmary Health, posted a photo on his Facebook page showing him posed next to a sign that says “effective Oct. 1, 2021, Dr. Valentine will no longer see patients that are not vaccinated against COVID-19.”
Since posting the sign, Valentine wrote that three unvaccinated patients asked where they could get a vaccine.

Valentine said he is currently in the process of mailing a letter to patients about his decision. He posted a copy of the letter online.
“We do not yet have any great treatments for severe disease, but we do have great prevention with vaccines. Unfortunately, many have declined to take the vaccine, and some end up severely ill or dead. I cannot and will not force anyone to take the vaccine, but I also cannot continue to watch my patients suffer and die from an eminently preventable disease,” the letter said. “Therefore, as of October 1st, 2021, I will no longer see patients that have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. If you wish to keep me as your physician, documentation of your vaccination will suffice. If you wish to choose another physician, we will be happy to transfer your records.”

It's not a vaccine.
It doesn't aid in prevention.
Helps manage symptoms.
Kind of like aspirin.
But with bad side-effects, many of which are long-term and not yet known.

That’s exactly where my cardiologist practices. He gave me a 10 minute lecture about getting the vaccine a couple of weeks ago. I have a concern that he may follow in this doctor’s footsteps which would cause me a major hassle.
What a hypocrite. Why not post a notice that he will no longer see Republicans, or Catholics, or Negroes?
Why not take his bigoted ridiculous notions all the way?
We have treatment. But if it becomes known, the public will doubt the validity of the Emergency Use Authorization which is issued only when there “is no other alternative.”

The inanity of this decision is extreme, as doctors are always exposed to patients who have made personal decisions that MIGHT not be in their own and their acquaintances’ best interests. Does he also deny treatment to smokers and alcoholics?
Does this policy also apply to AIDS?
See my post 8. You and I thought along the same lines. This should be illegal. If a wedding planner can be forced to violate their convictions and a baker can be forced to bake a cake in violation of their religious views, how can a licensed physician be so blatantly biased against his patients.
This so called Doctor is breaking his Hippocratic Oath, IMO. He’s dispicable.
