Partial human remains were reportedly located in a Florida nature park where authorities have searched for Brian Laundrie, and a medical examiner has responded to the area, in the search for the fugitive wanted in the Gabby Petito case.
The discovery of remains comes after some items belonging to Laundrie were found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
Law enforcement sources told NBC News that the remains were found in a section of the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park that had previously been underwater due to heavy rains.
A cadaver dog also has been deployed to the scene, CNN reported. A tent was set up in the area, according to chopper video posted by a reporter for News Nation Now.
Laundrie’s belongings were discovered Wednesday at the heavily wooded park, where his parents arrived in the morning, the family’s lawyer, Steven Bertolino, told The Post.

Well a dead person can vote so.......🤔
Could be
I trust nothing from this family of pukes
Very true. They are accomplishes and should be charged.
Any crabs, or is it not at all brackish? Probably lots of creepy crawlers to strip a carcass.
That far up and in all fresh
Is this a gothic Romeo and Juliet?
That’s what I figured. I know the ‘Glades get flushed out in the rainy season, but I’ve heard the salt encroaches in the dry season. I believe they blame a lot of it on the canals cut in the coral. I know they was a problem on the east coast.
The waterways around here(sarasotacharlote city) originate in the central part of the region and carry all the run off from the farms and ranches that then dump into Charlotte Harbor and work into the Gulf.
Tampa area has their own Phosphate problems
All those fertilizers and chems contribute to Red Tide here and up Tampa way.
Living down in Palm B the problem was the sugar cane guys runoffs going into Okeechobee thanks to the same Canal network down there.
DeSantis is working to correct that.
Just throw in some water hyacinth. It’l suck those nutrients right up. Problem solved. /s
Good grief.
Has it struck anyone here that the Laundries may have told LE the honest truth of all that they know?
That’s all they owe to anyone, including the hoi polloi, voyeur, busybody ‘public’.
Some of the posts on this thread are laughable.
The FBI doesn’t do ‘press conferences’ on a case like this, unless they’ve concluded something they feel sure about. (For the first time ‘murder’ of the Petito girl was mentioned today.)
Agreed. These threads do provide entertainment and insights into how some FReepers think. Thus they are somewhat useful.
We all know she was murdered, but who is the murderer ?
I have said before if Laundry cant be placed at the scene at the time of death which no one can put a time frame on simply because she was as trashed by wildlife and Maw Nature, same as these remains today, then who was the murderer ?
She was not buried.
Sure speculation would point to the BF but they cant hang it on him at this time as there is no proof and i will say never will be able too.
They can dance around the info they have but at this time, unless they are keeping it to themselves, there is no proof who killed her.
Unsolved
Yea me.
They may have had/have a son that is a manipulative lying BS artist and fed them a line of crap.
I’ve always been of the opinion that there are probably many interests doing fascinating ‘studies’ of human psychology here...
And parents believe in and love their children -
which tendency often supersedes logical thought.
If he’s dead, I guess it will remain ‘unsolved’.
I don’t know how you obtain conclusive DNA evidence from a victim who has been living - and presumably sleeping - with the suspect for years.
That will be a real disappointment to many here; unless there’s something interesting in the ‘notebook’.
and he used a sharpie vsa rollerball gell that bleads when you sweat on it.
I am presuming these items were under water for a few weeks or would have been seen before the runoff this week
