A foul odor in the air that has not gone unnoticed by residents in the Carson area is believed to be coming from an organic material drying out in the Dominguez Channel.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and Public Works say preliminary finding indicate that the material was left on the channel banks during low tide. Authorities have also ruled out any kind of release from a nearby oil refinery or waste facility.
According to Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes, the odor, which has been described as a combination of "The Walking Dead," rotten eggs and burning tires, is believed to be hydrogen sulfide.
In a statement issued Saturday, public health officials said its monitors found "very low levels" of hydrogen sulfide over the last two days.

It’s just HELL spilling over.
Hydrogen sulphide can kill you very quickly when concentrated.
I worked on a drilling rig in my youth. On one well hydrogen sulphide killed 3 roughnecks, each going over to save another and being engulfed it the fumes at the end of the blow out line.
Smells like rotten eggs. But soon you can’t smell anymore then fade to black.

As a yout working for Bell Tel in Broward the underground guys were very aware of this gas and if caught not venting manholes were severely disciplined.

Sounds like it could be farts.
Could be from earthquake activity or ground movement. Could also be signaling a massive earthquake on the horizon.

There is an agenda and it is odd.
This site posts fire and gas deaths, vehicle and boat and plane fires and explosions and other items along this same line. Also volcanic and earthquake information. Includes possible deaths by H2S by drowning, because Hydrogen Sulfide is water-soluble.
Of interest because this hypothesis would explain how the world will be destroyed by fire eventually a la Revelation.
Earth will not be destroyed by fire. God himself is a consuming fire. He will consume evil with the the brightness of his coming.
