The intention is to make the whole world, third world.
There is a lot of truth in that. The Elites don’t want a bourgeoise middle class. They want a very large poor class, a working lower class, a technocratic class, and an elite class. Why? Because they see the poor and working classes as much easier to control. And “poor” is relative. They won’t be starving, but they will be slaves who will be held in check by welfare benefits or (in the case of the working class) debt. And they easily pacified by nearly free entertainment and stimulants. The Elites will have their gated communities & remote (unreachable) enclaves that will be removed from it all.
Ultimately, the kind of world they want is a lot closer to the dystopias of 1984 or Brave, New World than most people realize.

Keep it (the wealth, power and control) in the family.
Congress is content to have "Plantation America" just as long as Congress gets to keep control - in other words, the meaning of patriotism changes to suit the leaders, not the population. You like your country? You can keep your country! (in name only)
Lots of inevitablity involved, on account of human nature doesn't change.

About 15 yrs ago, a relative wrote a doctorate on how the world would be a better place if there were no borders, in fact, no separate countries. I think people were expected to police & govern themselves. This is not one person’s idea or opinion. This is what the Left really wants - one world, one people.

The working poor also cannot acquire enough wealth to compete with them in business.
