The bizarrely named Shopping Managing Showcase will allow retailers to place products on a styling wooden shelf that's fronted by a transparent OLED screen serving up eye-catching adsLG Display VIEW 3 IMAGES

Though LG Display's transparent OLED technology has mostly been presented in concept form so far, the panels have made it out into the real world. And the company is hoping to seed more potential use cases with a bunch of new prototypes headed for CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

For CES 2021, LG Display put a 55-inch panel at the foot of the bed and served up menu information for diners, but this time the company is showcasing possibilities for shopping mall retailers, office workers and tech-loving home owners.

First up, the company is looking to enhance the shopping experience using transparent OLED technology, with something it's calling the Shopping Managing Showcase (shown above). The idea here is that retailers would arrange products on a wooden stand, and a display panel mounted in front would allow shoppers to see the products while being served with "eye-catching visual content" on the transparent screen.

What is so bizarre about calling something a shopping management system? Is this a millennial writer who uses also uses jaw-dropping and speechless in his articles?

At this point in the Film, John Anderton (Tom Cruise) has been identified by the Precrime unit as a murder suspect. In his efforts to escape, he walks through a mall hoping to escape notice, and is ironically identified by targeted advertisements.

(John Anderton bombarded by personalized advertisements)

"...Lexus. The road you're on, John Anderton, is the one less traveled"

"John Anderton! You could use a Guiness right about now."

"Get away, John Anderton... Forget your troubles..."

In what way, the product is still there on the shelf just behind the 'LG eye catching display', so they could still smash the very expensive display and still steal the product.

But it doesn’t have to physically be there. The screen can show the product just as well.
