Happy Manic Monday!
Looks like rain today. Had brief heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday.
Was very humid and warm on Sunday, still humid now.
Anyway, this rainy day is nice, good excuse to be lazy.
😅

We got 1 1/2" of rain last night in a very short time. It was wonderful! ⚡️💦☔️

Friday morning, Sis called me in a panic because her husband (who has 7th stage Alzheimer’s)was very sick. I told her to call 911 and then I walked to her house. Soon, the entire inventory of our town’s emergency vehicles showed up, and rushed him to the ER. I cancelled all my lessons for the day (which means I will have to make them up this week, same week as first day of school, so my options are limited) and waited for her to call me so I could pick her up at the hospital. It turned out to be a UTI, and they put him on IV Antibiotics (which he kept picking at and pulling out).
The whole weekend was back and forth to the hospital, and yesterday, we were there for five hours getting him discharged.
Through all of this, my sister’s hubby, the love of her life, was disoriented X3, uncooperative, and, while not hostile, was being “difficult”.
My heart is aching.

Leave the Light On
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
A hotel chain’s commercial featured one little building standing amidst a dark night. Nothing else was around. The only light in the scene came from a small lamp near the door on the porch of the building. The bulb cast enough illumination for a visitor to walk up the steps and enter the building. The commercial ended with the phrase, “We’ll leave the light on for you.”
A porch light is akin to a welcome sign, reminding weary travelers that there’s a comfortable place still open where they can stop and rest. The light invites those passing by to come on in and escape from the dark, weary journey.
Jesus says the lives of those who believe in Him should resemble that of a welcoming light. He told His followers, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14). As believers, we’re to illuminate a dark world.
As He directs and empowers us, “[others] may see [our] good deeds and glorify [our] Father in heaven” (v. 16). And as we leave our lights on, they will feel welcomed to come to us to learn more about the one true Light of the World—Jesus (John 8:12). In a weary and dark world, His light always remains on.
Have you left your light on? As Jesus shines through you today, others may see and begin radiating His light too. — Katara Patton
In what ways can you shine your light for Jesus today? What can prevent you from shining for Him?
Jesus, help me to shine brightly so that others may be drawn to You.

God bless you for helping your sister in her time of need, even when it causes delays for yourself. I know she appreciates it, and if her hubby was fully cognizant, he would, too. I pray that his emergency is over and that he can stay calm and get well from the UTI.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. He is home now, and on heavy antibiotics.
He is somewhat subdued, but was actually laughing in all the right places in some old Seinfeld repeats.
The incessant pacing seems to have abated for the time being, Thank God.

I’m glad you’re getting some too! Mine was looking pretty sad, too, as was every other lawn in town. This is very unusual for you, right? Hope your dry spell is over!

I’m glad he’s settled down and is enjoying him some Seinfeld shows. I hope this lasts for a while, so you and your sister can get some relief from stress.

Yes it is, usually we have no problem with natural watering.
We have had storms but the rain comes and dumps a lot fast
and that water runs off. Today was good rain. I don’t mind that at all.
