"Kids reportedly have no difficulty with the train problem, but adults aren't faring so well. The puzzle was designed for the fresh eyes of 6 and 7 year olds, so maybe all of us grownups are just overcomplicating things!
"Check out the problem below, and let us know if you were able to solve it!"
There were some people on a train. 19 people get off the train at the first stop. 17 people get on the train. Now there are 63 people on the train. How many people were on the train to begin with?

I don’t even see why it’s complex.
C’mon, give me your answer. If you post the correct one, you’ll be the first. :-)
Hard to believe any adult can’t figure that out.
Considering that it seems ruffly half of the population is retarded now, it doesn’t surprise me that many might struggle with this simple problem.
I am 71, and I checked the link to make sure, but I got the correct answer instinctively and practically instantly. I fail to see what makes this complicated.
Some people = Muslims ?
65
It’s hard to count the people because they are wearing masks.
Most adults? Click-bait nonsense. I half expected the answer to be “0” because “to begin with” meant before any passengers were loaded, but no it was just simple math.
Very easy to solve.
That is not math. That is arithmetic.
No, al baby. They all survive the trip. 😁
I have another problem for you:
prosperous democracy + socialism + a couple of decades = ?
The total number lost is two passengers. Add that number to those currently on the train to get original number of passengers.
It seems super easy...
Either 61 or 65....just have to rethink whether it is two more or two less than original number.
C’mon, give me your answer. If you post the correct one, you’ll be the first. :-)
19-17 = 2
2+X=Y That’s as far as I’ll go.
Did it in my head in a few seconds but a lot of people struggle with word based math problems.
I suggest the correct answer is 0, unless some people live on the train.
