Lived in the Bronx from 1949 to 1964. Never saw that type of butterfly the whole time. Though my dad who worked as a cop in the South Bronx said they existed there

I remember seeing “Bronx butterfly” used as a slang term for “cockroach.” Could be a brain fart on my part, though.
