"There are a lot of devastating psychological effects associated with weed that tobacco cigarettes don’t have".

I suspect psychological effects include denial and/or egregious advocacy.

Sometimes, the smoke odor can be confused with burning Live Oak firewood; nonetheless, there is NO smoke that is healthy to breathe in: no particles of any kind, including asbestos and viruses.

Take your time.

I’m just going to go over here, and get down in the mud and roll around with this pain, see if I can’t get some sleep.

"We’ve fought wars for that. Besides, addictive people will ALWAYS find a way to destroy themselves and negatively impact the lives of those close to them".

One arsonist destroyed the USS Bonhomme Richard, injuring 40 crewmen plus 23 civilians. (Ship now scrapped--no longer suitable for war).

Why was the arsonist, at age 20, at the lowest possible rank [e-2] among the ship's crew?

Unprecedented! Was his psychological affliction induced by Marijuana?

Yada yada yada. You don’t know shit. Another arrogant authoritarian that thinks anything she doesn’t like should be banned. The fact is you’re a scumbag who just cannot stay out of other peoples business. If you think smoking pot is bad and dangerous then don’t smoke it.

I would much rather be around a bunch of pot smokers than alcohol drinkers anytime. The vast majority of the thousands of pot smokers I’ve been around in my life are very peacful people and it does wonders for those with PTSD. THC should be considered a miracle drug. Did you know that oncologists in Japan have found that THC injected into some kinds of tumors kill the the tumor and leave the surrounding healthy cells alone, and they do it within days, no need for expensive Chemo with THC treatments but oops big pharma and big med wouldn’t make money on them.

Also a study I know of because I know one of the doctors who participated in it, and neurologist/brain surgeon told me the study he worked on showed that smoking one joint a week cut peoples chances of getting Alzheimers Disease by nearly 80%. The problem is the AMA is staffed with closed minded authoritarians such as yourself and they will not allow a study of the positive effects of pot use to be peer reviewed and published in the United States. Much like Fauci, they want to keep any cures of any diseases out of the natural realm, because big pharma and the government bureaucrats that regulate them, like Fauci, cannot make money on natural cures. Why do you think they made up studies that claimed Hydrxy & Ivermectin were ineffective against covid, yet all the clinical data from front line docs refuted their made up study and guess what, those docs have now been cancelled, people like you are not really any different than the Fauci’s of the world.

There's a large open restaurant a quarter mile away. When they have an occasional concert, listeners light up and I can smell it downwind. I'd like to NOT breathe any smoke at all.

"Florida Man" would argue otherwise...

Always said if I made it to 80, I would take it up again, but I don’t want to smell like that again.

When I quit years ago, my doctor said I could smoke again when I'm 80. I'm counting on it! LOLOL

Didn’t take long, you’re totally wrong and I’m absolutely correct. Cannabis has a much longer history than deadly opiates. Not everyone needs to use doses of poison for their pain, small amounts of natural analgesics meet many needs just fine.

Enjoy the mud.

As people have stated here, today’s weed is not the same stuff as the 70s. It’s loaded with way more poison and the smell is way more disgusting and long lasting.

So, like working drunk—which I figure is much more common.

Working while intoxicated is always a bad idea. So, I am not sure where that comes into the legalization discussion.

I don’t mind smelling some tobacco smoke. As long as it is not over powering.
Reminds me of my grandpa, setting on a bench under a tree in his 60’s.

1 — felon voting was added in 2018. NOT under DeSantus. Greater restrictions were added 2019 where level A Felons not allowed and they must be off parole, probation, and ALL restitution must be paid.

2 — last 2 years shows those who register as Republicans outnumber democrats 60-40...used to be opposite.

Things swing like a pendulum and conservatives are doing much better in Florida than before DeSantus/pandemic.

We dodge a bullet just before. DeSantus won by only 35,000 votes. Much - MUCH - better polls show now.

“Cannabis has a much longer history than deadly opiates.”

Perhaps. New finds change things all the time. Why did you bring that up?

“Not everyone needs to use doses of poison for their pain”

I didn’t say they did.

“small amounts of natural analgesics meet many needs just fine.”

Five mg of morphine *is* a small amount of a natural analgesic. The opium poppy is a plant, just like MJ.

My uncle died of bowel cancer. Opiates famously give rise to serious constipation. His choices were pain with the ability to eat and defecate, or opiates for pain the ability to eat and agonizing constipation or pain relief, powerful laxatives necessitating diapers or a cannabis extract.

The extract stimulated appetite, eased the pain and allowed normal defecation.

No one has ever died from a cannabis overdose, no one has ever suffered a physical addiction. Is cannabis perfect? No but for most medical purposes it’s way better than poisons like opium derivatives.

"Pot is a gateway drug...to socialism".

In Florida, giving the vote to Felons was on the same ballot question as legalizing medical Marijuana.

You don't suppose Felons benefited from Florida's free-range dopers?

"...DeSantis won by only 35,000 votes..."

Only days later, Floridians may not have noticed their ALMOST-Governor was discovered with a "rental boy" and a pile of Crystal Meth.

Oh, we ALL noticed.

Gilliam was passed out - on meth - naked with 2 ‘’rental boys’’ in a hotel room. He is out of further consideration.

EVERY publically Democrat A$$ got an earful from ALL the Republicans up and down the State.

My sympathies on the loss of your uncle.

I’m glad to hear that MJ provided him relief.

It’s just not enough for many of us.

REAL Conservatives don’t ban things because they have risks: tobacco, alcohol, cars, power tools, ...

Imprimis (ultra-conservative Hillsdale College) article shows 100% of NYS mental hospital patients had long Marijuana histories.

Risk? Read it at your own risk...
