It’s interesting how some people say that. I hear it a quite a bit where I live (San Francisco), e.g., “I don’t smoke weed, but I *love* the smell.”
I, on other hand, absolutely hate the smell. I find it to be one of the most disgusting, nauseating smells in the world, and I can’t stand to be around it.
I don’t smoke tobacco either, but for whatever reason, the smell doesn’t offend me. I can be around people smoking cigars, cigarettes, pipes, and it’s fine. I can’t explain it. Either our brains are wired to like or dislike certain smells (nature), or it’s what we grew up around (nurture). Tobacco smoke was around a lot more when I was a kid in the ‘70s, but I was never really around pot smoke.
I love the smell of a good cigar. Reminds me of my dad who smoked very nice Cubans.
It’s the combo the next day, usually at church, when I could smell the remnants of cigar/cigarette and liquor.
I supervised a woman who smelled the same way on Mondays...sometimes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. Ha. She was a flake.
I’m no prude by any means.
