Don’t Fall in Love with a Dreamer.
Or an in shape, good looking Italian kid with big aspirations.
He’s gonna be fat and semi broke in 35 years :)
But still lovable :)

Kenny was talented as a singer and smart as to marketing himself, almost too smart. I recently bought a used CD featuring many of his Greatest Hits. I had listened to 6 maybe 7 songs when I had to shut it off. I realized I could not ever listen to most Kenny Rodgers hits without ALSO thinking of the TV commericial and/or product that song was linked to.
There are quite a few.
One exception would be
“Islands In The Stream” a duet with Kenny & Dolly Parton.
I thought Dolly wrote it. No. The Bee Gees wrote it.
Dolly and the Horn Section make that song swing.
"Well, he is the gambler!"
When this song came out, we had a ritual of drowning out “dreamer” with “screamer” (ev-er-eee ti-i-ime). I’m curious if everyone did this, or just a handful of idiots?
