As an exercise, write out $30 trillion long hand, and then divide by the population of the US. Then figure that about half the US citizens pay little to no tax, with many getting money for being essentially nonproductive.
Each of us with some sort of productivity and each who actually pays an income tax and/or capital gains tax "owes" at least a couple hundred thousand dollars. What real or tangible did you get for your "public" mortgage?
