I’ll get right to the point. “The Batman” is hands-down the best film about the character that has been made so far. Yes, as a die-hard fan of the Christopher Nolan films, it is difficult for me to write this. But director Matt Reeves knocked it out of the park, the city, and the entire state when he made this movie.

None of the Batman movies had leftist propaganda. In fact, the very essence of Batman itself is that of a conservative-libertarian icon. This is worth the 20 bucks alone to go to the theaters, for me. This movie has gotten tons of good reviews and they’re saying it’s the best one ever made, or at least #2 after the Dark Knight.

Catwoman makes a white privilege reference at one point, I’ve heard. AFIAK, that’s the only thing woke in the movie and I think it’s just a throwaway line.
I think it was Ayn Rand who said that most American males never really grow up. She said it came from a youthful and unhealthy fixation on comic books.
I’m not huge on superhero movies, but this one does intrigue me. The younger, more hotheaded, and less experienced Batman sounds like a fun thing to explore.
Seen it. It’s a little long a little slow. Good action but takes a couple of shots and mean white guys. Very atmospheric, mood and dark. I’m a HUGE Batman fan and I loved the dark knight films.

In her day, comics were one-off adventure stories that told silly stories. Now, comics are written at a literary level that is more Robinson Crusoe or Gulliver’s Travels.

I’m sorry, but Robert Pattinson in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman was and still is a bad casting choice.
Adam West will always be Batman to me.
