The body of a Florida woman, who disappeared more than a week ago, had been found inside her septic tank - and her handyman has been arrested for murder.

Police began searching the tank for Cynthia Cole, 57, a few hours after arresting her handyman Keoki Hilo Demich on Friday night.

After several hours of excavation, her body was discovered submerged in the cesspool, buried in her backyard in the 4500 block of NE Skyline Drive in Jensen Beach.

The reason I posted this was in no way to demean this woman. She was someone’s wife, daughter, mother etc. She died a horrible lonely death and had her remains desecrated. What I am noting is that the President, Congress, media, educational system is constantly lecuturing on white supremacy, privledge, critical race theory and on and on. In this case as with many white and Asian women the perpetrator is not a white supremacist. I feel and pray for her much more than I do for a deceased drug dealer in Minneapolis.

The reality is that these horrific crimes know no racial bounderies as far as the victims affected:

New Jersey man, 31, is found guilty of murdering two children, ages 8 and 11, and a college student after breaking into family home: Tortured his three victims before killing them because he was angry about a Facebook post

You're right on target about that looking like a city work crew. Hey! It was a city work crew that just happened to be wearing badges and dressed nicer than a road crew. Lol…

I had a project in a midwestern city with a client that manufactured toasted snack cracker mixes. Anyway, over the years they had discharged too much fry oil in the process wastewater that was discharged into the city sewer. Eventually the sewer was plugged up a half mile away and the company was liable for cleanout costs.

The city saw this as a bonanza opportunity and slapped the company with several hundred thousand $$$ in costs. Company lawyers hired me to look at the cost detail and to design some new wastewater equipment for use in the plant. The costs the city billed came from two directions. Sampling the process wastewater and cleaning the sewer pipe.

The sampling used an auto sampler that hourly filled up a sample bottle and a flow meter with a data logger. Once a day, the samples were collected and sent to a laboratory. A number was read off the flow meter and recorded on a log sheet. So, the city calculated costs based on 1 worker, 1 helper, 1 supervisor, 2 vehicles 24/7 and rental for the sampling equipment. The people were drawing overtime as well for 16 hours of the day.

For the sewer line in plugging, I got cost quotes from some private companies. As you can guess, the cities claim of costs was wildly inflated for $$$ per hour of crew + equipment plus city employee feather bedding. It was fun blowing up the cities cost claim for the sampling piece of the work. The city was furnishing the equipment and their equipment didn't have traceable calibrations so was non-usable for compliance or legal use. It's right there I the state laws. Also, for about $50 a day, I could get the 1X daily sample collection and meter reading by a private lab tech that would have a legally valid chain of custody documentation.

On the legally valid thing, the city's lab was not certified so it had no legal standing plus cost 2-3 times more than a commercial lab I fed all this info to the silver tongued lawyer the company engaged and help him with strategy to make the city squirm. In the end, the city settled for about $50k versus the several hundred thousand the city claimed. About $20k each went to the lawyer and to my consulting company employer. For my piece of this, I also did some engineering design work. I also got a case of their snack crackers. Good stuff!

I have no problem with the article being posted, just the puns about the way the killer disposed of the victim’s corpse. You didn’t make any of them.

Posting the article is a service. I have had work done at my house recently and this article makes me realize I should have been more on guard.

I agree. I have done this kind of thing in the past as well, and though I try not to engage in it, I have no room to criticize others who do.

I just wondered one day about how I would feel if a victim’s loved ones saw me say some of those things.

It is cruel and thoughtless, but a lot of the people doing it have never thought of it in those terms.

That’s funny. David vs Goliath! And, David won!

“The sampling used an auto sampler that hourly filled up a sample bottle and a flow meter with a data logger. Once a day, the samples were collected and sent to a laboratory. The paragraph above almost sounds like the process for getting a simple building permit in my city. It’s a hair-pulling process. I understand why contractors are getting higher prices for permitted work...having to deal with the anal-retentives down at the permit office.

Send every black person who hates whites and whines about their “mistreatment” in this country back to Africa.

Meanwhile, Snyder said detectives are still collecting evidence and added that Demich could face additional charges.

Additional charges?
That alone should be enough for the chair! Hopefully ASAP!

Yep I wondered how one guy got her in the tank and it took all these fellas to dig it up? Did killer not think septic area would look disturbed after he did his deed? That whole scenario sounds just weird

Humor is a conditional response. Its moral character depends on the object. To laugh at the contemptable is a virtue. To laugh at the good is a hideous vice.

Picture answered any question.

A septic tank is not the same as a cesspool.

The video looks to be a septic tank but how the heck did the scum bag get her into the lid/hose hole? The largest ones are about 30” diameter and she looks a bit muscular. Apparently, he did.

There are 2 openings in a septic tank. They’re big enough to drop a body through. He uncovered one of them and in she went.
The disturbed would be easily spotted.

WOW! Reminds me of when bootlegger Cleo Epps was murdered down in Oklahoma fifty years ago. Her body found in a septic tank.
