I’ll jump in here and say th live version from 1973 at Winterland is pretty darn good too. Blackberries singing backup, song starts with a quick nod to Sly Stone’s ‘Higher’. Steve Marriott was short in stature but a rock giant.

Rockin the Fillmore, Frampton’s last with the group is highly recommended listening.
Getting ready for pie day on Monday?
Steve Marriott - great R&R vocals.
I listens to Humble Pie extensively yet never knew the name of the singer. How odd.
Favorite Humble Pie track of all time for me:
I Don’t Need No Doctor (Live At The Fillmore East / 1971)

Steve Marriott was the best frontman of all.
Check out his Small Faces stuff, too. Most only know of Itchykoo Park, which is not like their usual stuff.
Jussie Smolett’s new theme song.
Good song. Never got into most of their material though. But I def remember their first big album.
Thanks. Nice once again. Guess we’re giving away our ages huh?

Frampton was doing this song in his shows later in his solo career. I saw him at the Vegas House of Blues show around 2000. He and Bob Mayo were trading Guitar licks...brilliant. Four years later Bob dropped dead of a heart attack during a Europeon Frampton Tour.
"Hallelujah I Love Her So"..."I Don't Need No Doctor".
Great stuff.
Beth Hart covered that one a few years ago. Juuust before she started her collab with Joe Bonamassa. Good stuff.
Try the Rock On album if you haven’t already. Crank it up....
