Finally we moved up from a Defcon level 4 to a 3
The current overall Defcon level OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) estimate is now Defcon level 3. After assessing the situation with Russia and their forces being set to a higher nuclear deterrence level, we have set our overall alert level back to three for the time being Taken from Defcon Level Warning System:

If we had a real man for president we should have gone to Defcon 1 awhile ago. When you get in the face of bullies they back off and could have prevented this war...maybe. And no, I haven’t forgot about the border.

It should be noted this is an unofficial estimate of the defensive condition the US. As far as I know, the government doesn’t announce defcon or any changes.
But this would seem to be a good guess to me.
US military DEFCONs are limited to areas or groups within the military. Which areas or groups are in this DEFCON?
For reference, we were at Defcon 3 during the first arab Israeli war in the 70's.
