Two workers rescued from chocolate-filled tank at Mars Wrigley factory

Brad Wolfe, communications supervisor for Lancaster County 911 Dispatch, told CNN that firefighters had to “cut a hole in the side of the tank to get them out.”

A spokesperson for Mars Wrigley, which makes M&M’s, Snickers and other candies, confirmed in a statement Friday to The Washington Post that the workers were taken off-site for evaluation.

It is still unclear how the workers got stuck in the tank and how much chocolate was in it at the time.

The newest version: Death By Chocolate M&Ms!

That way, they don’t have to clean out the vat...

“Murphy successfully fought off three attempts to rescue him . . .”

Geez! I hope that they emptied that tank, acid-washed it then fumigated it!

Who wants to eat chocolate candy which may already have been contaminated by another kind of brown candy? Eew!

The workers, who have not been publicly identified?

It’s a secret? Were the workers here illegally?

Sinclair Lewis helped launch the suffocating American regulatory state with a story about factory workers falling into vats of, in that case, lard.

Americans were scared into the FDA by the thought of it.

(Lewis was trying to start a socialist revolution with the book, “The Jungle,” in which the story appeared; we all got stuck w/ the Deep State.)
