Trump’s Right of First Refusal Isn’t Enough

While Trump has earned the right of first refusal giving him the right of first look, he should not have an unchallenged right of return unless he can persuade us that he learned something from his first time around and will behave differently next time.

When will Donald Trump account for his colossal missteps and acts of omission during his first term? To wit, in case you weren’t paying attention:

I read the whole article and don’t like it overall because the author implies several times that the 2020 election was “honest.” It was rigged from the start! President Trump could have done everything on that list differently, and the cabal *still* would have stolen the election.

Having said that, I wish Trump would ride off into the sunset, but not before endorsing Candace Owens as his “successor.” She’s like Trump on steroids in many ways! Owens was the first public figure I’m aware of coming out against the covidians, and against the neocon attempts to get America into the Ukraine war. She’ll be 35 before January 20, 2025 also...

His enemies: Wouldn’t it be better for them to look over their shoulder than seeing him in front? DeSantis does the nuts and bolts work while Trump pulls the strings on the party. Double whammy on the rats I say.

Think Bill Walsh/49ers. Great coach. Better administrator. He hired the grandfather of LA Rams coach McVay to do that kind of stuff.

All these Freeper ninny idiots. No one is perfect, but Trump generally phenomenal to have accomplished all he did under the circumstances. We should all be blessed with a Trump second term. Hopefully with De Santis as VP. Second term would no doubt be more effective with the greater percentage of MAGA officials and lessened learned.

However his time is past, he was cheated (1 way or another out of the election) and it’s over.

Trump made mistakes to be sure.

But you and the authors comment that the cheating is "over" is a far worse mistake.

I think his biggest mistake was not firing Comey and every other federal prosecutor on Day 1. And then going after Hillary.

I think Trump fell into the trap of thinking some of these swamp creatures were salvageable. He wants to see good in people. I think he better understands the lay of the land now.

Still though, I think I’d rather see DeSantis this time around, With Trump’s blessing and support. Doubt that will happen. But, to me it would be ideal.

I like Trump…a lot.

However his time is past, he was cheated (1 way or another out of the election) and it’s over. You are right about the women and let’s face it he will be too old.

Despite what some of his supporters here say, age DOES make a difference and he will be ..what? Almost 78 in 2024? That is too old.

Desantis is the ticket.

My Dream of Dreams: Trump for President, DeSantis as VP in 2024. Trump is vindicated and wins easily if we can tamp down the fraud -- 2022 mid-terms may allow this if we take Congress, both houses.

Sometime between Jan 20 2026 and Jan 2027 Trump announces he is retiring to be a senior advisor to DeSantis who becomes President.

DeSantis runs as an incumbent, but one with two terms remaining, in 2030.

If we can not turn the country around and restore sanity in 12 years our descendants deserve whatever fate is in store for them.

A Never Trumper are you, diluted for general consumption.

I am an unconditional Trump supporter.

The RINOs did everything to give him bad advice resulting in yur so called list he didn’t do.Trump was betrayed by Bush loving RINOS, political RINO elites took the new kid on the block for a ride.

And he still did a fantastic job.

No, this time when Trump wins the nomination, he won’t be harboring any RINOs in his upper echolons of advizors and counsellors.

So you pick one side or the other.......and you have picked the WRONG side.

MAGA baby, MAGA!

One *yuge* and badly needed change President Trump made to the GOP was wresting the party from the neocons (elitist, globalist warmongers). I knew he was the right candidate when he insulted McCain’s “heroism.” No telling how many people cast ballots for Trump who would *never* have voted for yet another Bush or McCain type NWO war pig.

But the few female women I know in my family that are liberal are not looking at it the way we are.

They are taking the democratic lines about food shortages/inflation caused by: 1. War in Ukraine 2. Greedy businessmen 3. Supply chain woes.

So I’m not at all confident they will blame the current problems on Biden who they voted for.

You know “ignorance is bliss” and all that.

I’m not interested in what he is now. I’m concerned about what he will be once he’s a national player.

Anyone who thinks an Ivy League lawyer turned career politician, who has never worked outside government in his life, is going to lead a MAGA movement needs a reality check.

The mean tweeting is self destructive because it gains him no votes and loses him many. It undermined his MAGA mission because it narrowed his supporter base instead of increasing it. You can snipe at suburban women and others who didn’t vote for him because of the mean tweets. But you’re fighting with human nature. Trump accomplished nothing with his crazy tweets and hurt his cause a lot

He also wasted time that he could have spent on productive work, like doing due diligence on the people he was considering hiring, so he wouldn’t have hired so many people who are backstabbed and hate his agenda

What a load of crap from a piece right off the pile that needs flushing. Democrats are so scared that Trump will run again and are doing everything they can legally and illegally to prevent it even if it takes a mini revolution that Biden advocated for if the supremes didn’t vote the way he wants them too.

AND THAT INVOLVES INFILTRATING CONSERVATIVE BOARDS AND TROLLING BULL CRAP...
