Han Solo’s DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol from the original Star Wars trilogy will be sold next month by Rock Island Auction Company. The weapon isn’t just a lovingly crafted replica, either. It’s the actual prop that was wielded by Harrison Ford on the set of the original film in the franchise...

Does it work?
Arec Barwin’s [you know, that Film Actors Guild guy] “prop” seemed to function just fine.

Only tested on Imperial Storm Troopers.
Might work on Antifa goons, though.

I shot one of those decades ago! It was like squeezing a lemon and somewhere in that squeeze it would go “Bang!”
Never knew what part of the squeeze it would let off.

I won’t be bidding on this. I’m saving my auction money for Moe’s vise.

Lol…
Goofiest looking movie prop gun ever.
The real deal is a neat shooting piece. I’ve shot the 9mm version with a shoulder stock on it. Very steady, fairly accurate too.
There was a 7.63 chambered version, and, I believe, one chambered in 45 too (Chinese clone???) … might be wrong on that.

Here's a replica you can buy for $875.
Looks pretty close but for some reason, the replica has vents in front of the magazine well.

Do you remember the Planet of the Apes M1 carbines and Danish Madsen M50 SMGs in the wooden stocks???
There were replicas of those many years ago…

I like the replica better. Visually more appealling.

It IS an old Mauser broomhandle. It was demilled and used as the basis of the prop.
