A Missouri water park has apologized to a Black family that booked the venue for a big party, but was left high and dry.
Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation said in a statement published Tuesday that it had conducted an internal review of an Aug. 6 event it booked, then canceled on a day when hundreds of teens were hoping to beat the summer heat and have some fun. That investigation “identified missed processes and miscommunication that led to the cancellation,” administrator Joe Snook wrote in his lengthy explanation.
“A sincere apology is owed to the Evans family and our Lee’s Summit community,” he wrote.
Lee’s Summit is the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, and sits near Missouri’s border with Kansas.
According to LSPR, the Evans family booked the park on July 8 for a birthday party that was to have lasted from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Park officials said that on Aug. 4, they became aware of a social media post advertising an event called “Splash Blast 2″ that was being hosted at its water park during that time. Promoting events at the park is in violation of the venue’s rental terms.

Oh geez, a 25 million gazillion lawsuit coming. Apologies are not cash.
Hey! Don’t they know that only NON BLACK PEOPLE are required to comply with terms of a contract!
The whole thing was clearly racist </s>
Maybe just maybe they realized they were going to be overrun by a mob of “youths” and the damage that would be in the aftermath.
sorry we didn’t know you were going to bring 500 guests to a birthday party
“Promoting events at the park is in violation of the venue’s rental terms.”
What’s to apologize for?
Suckers.
I would just be praying that the French fries are not cold that day.
Who knows how many lives park officials saved by cancelling the party? No telling how many gang bangers would have shown up after the word went out on social media.
“This is why we can’t have nice things.”
The question is - how many people did the contract allow?
Just let that number of people in.
The black family paid for 250 guests - then brought 500 guests.
The venue didn’t have the staff or means to deal with twice the number of people. But since they were black AND democrats of course they got a pass and an apology. This is NOT a favor to the black community.
I read this from a different source and the attendees/families were just described and “minorities” so I naturally assumed it was those violent Asian people.
These photos make it look like all the attendees were black? How is it possible that 12% of the population makes up 98% of their attendees. I guess this country is more racist than I thought after all!
Never apologize. Never.
Right, that can get ya killed.
Unfortunately, a bunch of 19 year olds on summer jobs, unarmed, aren't going to be able to stop a mob of 250++ rabid NAPAs whipped up into a frenzy wanting to get in the park. They'd have shortly been able to burn the entire park to the ground.
Because the minute most people find out there is going to be a massive amount of urban ferals gathered anywhere, they’re smart enough to stay home. We went to Panama City Beach for a long weekend in March, not realizing some black promoter in Birmingham, set that weekend up for a “black takeover”. Needless to say, we were pretty much confined to the Condo for the duration.
The media is REALLY pushing this narrative lately that amusement parks hate blacks. What nonsense.
Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% in agreement, but for the folks actually working at the park, the ferals are the only ones who factor in here, in personal safety.
Did you read about the Block Island Ferry this weekend? Massive brawl broke out, didn't make sense for about 1/8th of second before I got to the line about a Reagree festival and then it all came together.
