A “sequel” based on very minor characters from a 35+ year old movie? How utterly f**king lame. Really, Hollywood?

“Young Simon and Simon”, adventures of the brothers in High School, one is dealing weed while the other is being abused by the Principal (Victoria Principal in her return to television).
“Lenny” starring Michael McKean, now in a nursing home and under the delusion that he’s allergic to water, Lenny struggles to come to grips with the deaths of Laverne and Squiggy while he resists being bathed.
“Mama Gump” Forrest Gump’s mom (Aubrey Plaza) is tarting it up all around town, which of the 10 guys she’s dating ends up planting the bun the oven? Is it the nuclear physicist played by Tom Hanks? Or maybe the black one “Corn-Pop” (Ice-T)? A comedy/mystery series.
