100%. He was very good in “The Color of Money”, but that was a makeup for not winning for “The Verdict”.
Like Pacino winning for “Scent of a Woman”. He was very good in that, but that wasn’t his best work.
Yeah. I guess I can agree with Gregory Peck over Peter O’Toole (”To Kill a Mockingbird” vs. “Lawrence of Arabia”). But denying Newman in “Verdict” was a crime in itself.
