The data are acquired from multiple telescopes. Professional astronomical telescopes, whether terrestrial or orbital, capture data using panchromatic imaging focal plane arrays, with a variety of narrow-band UV, VIS, NIR and SWIR filters. The color images are assembled by assigning data collected with various filters to Red, Green, and Blue for display on your computer monitor.
