Uranus (or alternate spelling "Ouranos") is the only planet named using the Greek name. All the other planets are named for the Roman pantheon.

If the naming convention were consistent, Uranus would be Caelus. But then the jokes wouldn't write themselves.

I wonder if anyone would even read this thread if they had named Uranus Cronos or something else.

The name is not the only odd thing about that planet, unlike all the others, it rolls along in its orbit since the equator is almost perpendicular to the orbital plane.
