Hearing aids will help by generating white noise that masks the tinnitus.
They're very expensive so go to the VA and you'll get your aids for free.
I’d like to know, too. My tinnitus developed a couple years ago, decades after my service, but vet friends told me it’s not uncommon. I spent a lot of time around jet engines, and I also spent a lot of time in the turret of a LAV with high frequency turret hydraulic noise, and a big chaingun going off next to my right ear. Docs could measure only a very slight hearing loss though, and nothing could be found on exams. Even got a MRI on my skull, I’m clear. How would hearing aids potentially help?
