People are truly idiots over organized sports.

A different fan was able to catch the ball fairly easily with his glove. That ball ended up in the bullpen and out of any fans’ grasp

Wait, what?

You know what? Forget it. Never mind. I don't even want to know.

“A Blue Jays fan in Toronto named Frankie Lasagna went viral last week for allowing Judge’s 61st home run to slip underneath his glove.”

Something tells me Frankie Lasagna is not celebrating Yom Kippur tonight

All this,for a ball?
Must be a true believer in intrinsic value of a chosen object.

“fan jumping over the railing in an attempt to retrieve it.”

Up on the second deck? Nothing in the article about him going “SPLAT”?

Roger Maris’s record stood for longer than Babe Ruth’s record. Maris hit 61 home runs in 1961. It took 61 more years to beat his record.

This might sound like a stupid question but how would we know that THAT is the ball?

I'm assuming that MLB has a bunch of identical balls on hand for any given game. So how do you tell them apart?

What's to stop a fan from producing a foul ball that he caught earlier in the game and then claiming that this was the home run ball?
