“I’ve been focused on the border since day one on this job,” Kelly claimed later in the debate. “I’m down there all the time. I was on the phone this week, just, you know—with Mayor Nicholls of Yuma, Sheriff Dannels of Cochise County—talking about what more we need for Border Patrol and immigration.”
Kelly continued, “We’re working to raise Border Patrol pay by 18%, I’ve got legislation to do that. I’ve been focused on the border since day one.”
“With no great effect,” Masters pointed out, “because we have a wide-open southern border. So if that’s the best you can do, I respectfully request him to resign, and let’s get someone in his seat right who will actually secure our border.”

I watched this debate and felt Masters did a good job of standing up to the dem machine and Mark Kelly s lies….Kelly even tried to smear his lies against Masters but Blake is quick on his feet and responded well every time. The independent guy, Mark Victor had a few things to say but basically he was entertaining value only…I got upset when C BS tore away from Blake’s closing statement for commercials. I had to go to You tube to see his remarks!

I believe both will hold on to those who have already decided, but Masters will benefit by picking up more from the undecided group.
Kelly also went into a Bidenesque story about growing up poor: ‘I watched my mom at the kitchen table deciding which bills we could afford to pay’ and ‘ sometimes we could only afford to put in $2.00 worth of gas’. I’m calling BS on that. He also said that both of his parents were cops. Sorry, if both of your parents are full time cops you are not poor.
