A stack of $20 gold certificates and a very nice wedding ring.
My wife said we should search our 100-year-old house; all we ever find is dead bugs.
One Guy hears there is a fairly well-developed modern market for entomological models. So you’ve got that going for you. Which is nice.

Wait just a minute. I am the only surviving member of the honorable Maisters clan. And I have all the documentation necessary. Well, I had all the documentation before it was lost in a tragic boating accident.
Anyway, those coins are rightfully mine. I’d appreciate it if that $852,380 was forwarded to me. In return I will pay a 10% finder’s fee. I think that’s fair.
Several years ago when turning over the ground with a cultivator to plant strawberries, I found a 1940 penny.
In the 80s here in Virginia, a neighbor was renovating and came across a box in the wall with two dueling pistols. Way cool!
I will never understand why people broadcast this type of thing.
When I was renovating 120-year-old house I happened to throw a book on the top shelf of an old closet and heard the sound of coins. I got up in the chair and pulled out a little box with a dozen Morgan dollars. It was an awesome find especially since we’re in Canada!
I knew a guy who bought an old house. When he removed the wall in a walk in closet, he found a printing press and engraved plates for counterfeiting $10 bills, the large size bills that were in use until about 1929.
While searching under the bed for his shoe, a husband found a small pouch containing 3 coins. When he asked his wife about them she became embarrassed and confessed to being unfaithful. She said every time she had an affair she would put a coin in the pouch. The husband thought about it and said “ 3 times over all these years is not so bad. I forgive you.” The wife became more embarrassed and said “Every time the pouch filled up, I emptied the pouch under the floor boards.”
They are always finding cool stuff in England. Found Richard the third under a parking garage. Another guy found part of the crown of one of the Henry’s ( thinkHenry third) while digging a garden in his back yard.
i saw an 1860 bronze english penny, in an arcade game in london. i played the game, and eventually won the penny. it was very worn, but it was the oldest coin that i ever found. (this was in 1967.)
as i recall, one could find usa copper pennies dating back to about 1920 in the early 1960s.
