No more 'attitude at the counter': McDonald's new fully-automated restaurant which is completely run by MACHINES leaves internet divided - but do YOU think it's a good idea?

McDonald's has opened up a fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines so you don't have to speak to anyone, and it has left people on the internet divided.

The brand-new eatery, located just outside Fort Worth, uses advanced technology so that customers can order their food and receive their meal without having to interact with any humans, and while some people are excited about the idea, others find it a little creepy.

A TikToker who goes by the username @foodiemunster online recently visited the restaurant and documented the entire thing on the video-sharing app, and it launched a major debate among viewers.

The video featured a McDonald's with no employees behind the counter. Near the entrance, stood large touch screens for people to place their orders on.

'If you go inside, you’ll see that it’s like no other McDonald’s you’ve been to before. There’s one kiosk to order your food,' the TikToker explained.

I read that in 2023, not only will you self-checkout at WalMart, but to get in the store you have to help unload the semi trailers in the receiving dept.

On the contrary, this will be the future.

Already most McDonald’s use automated kiosks for ordering.

McDonald’s right from the beginning had a regimented approach to preparing the food, so it can be easily automated.

McD wants standardization, and automation will do that. Standardization is also what their customers want, not high cuisine

“While your food will be cooked by real people, you won’t have to interact with them at all because they’ll be tucked away in the kitchen. “

what happens in the kitchen, stays in the kitchen!

Machines don’t strike for 15 an hour either.

It will, However provide an opportunity for individuals who choose can gain a skill set in repairing and maintaining these systems. Likely making way more than 15/hr. But most of the applications will be cloud based and remotely supported from Chengalpattu.

I miss the days when fast food slop joints were cheap and reasonable. Then came those human hamster tubes out in front of the McWhoppers and things started getting real pricey.

10 candy bars for $1... You could only buy 3 with $9 today. Not a great measure but it came to mind.

I wanted coffee the other day and there was a Starbucks nearby my doctor’s office. I always prefer to go inside rather than wait in the drive-thru line - but... there was no place to go in.

There was either the drive-thru or a walk-up widow, no inside - or outside - seating area.

I saw another similar configuration a few days ago - this is to prevent homeless or other non-customers from taking over the seating areas and then there was that pesky problem they had with the restrooms a few years ago.

I believe this will become Starbucks new preferred business model.
