Russia is not really a large country. The population is less than the Indonesian Island of Java.

The Russian GDP is said to be less than the American State of Texas and slightly greater than Ohio

Russia covers vast areas but so does Canada. Since the western money and ability left Russia, there is now no there there

“...if you want to compare their degree of democracy, Ukraine has had six different Presidents in the 21st century, while Russia has had just one...”

Too many Russians have to have their stupid dictator whether it is almost three decades of Stalin, or almost two decades of Brezhnev, or 23 years of the current little creep. But there are brave and good Russians who resist tyranny and corruption on the home front. Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Alexei Navalny, Olga Smirnova, Yulia Latynina, and Boris Nemtsov are among those who took a stand.

So, do you also believe the Golden Stream and support Hillary?

Supporting Putin is equivalent to being a Clintonista.

Well, it has the largest population in Europe, many times that of any of its neighbors. Not sure the population of Java - or Sumatra, for that matter - has any relevance to them.

That is a false comparison.

The NATO/Euro Population is more that twice that of Russia and the GDP is say 24 times that of Russia

So, do you also believe the Golden Stream and support Hillary?

You mean like how you currently supporting Joe Biden?

What an ignorant stupid person you are, for you believe that because I am against this conflict I am a Putin supporter. One plus one equals whatever you wants it to be, huh.

You've got it all figured out in that pea-sized brain of yours don't you. Problem is there are more options for for those who do not support this war, than it being supporting Putin. But you can't see those because the propaganda machine has control of you.

Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention - I'm The Slime

In fact, if you actually bothered to think about it using critical thought process you would understand. Instead you blindly accept the propaganda being fed to you by people who have been lying to the American public for decades now.

I actually care for the Ukrainian people, and the vast majority are not the least bit happy that their homeland is being destroyed, and their family members being killed, when a solution could have been hammered out without the death & destruction. But of course that was never an option that our leaders were interested in.

Ukraine is but one reason in a myriad of reasons that they stole the election away from Donald John Trump, because he would have never allowed those proxy war to have even gotten off of the ground.

Try thinking for yourself, you might begin to see things for yourself, instead of being nothing more than a useful idiot that blindly follows. You are supporting evil and you are too blinded to see that reality. None so blind as those who will not see.

You don’t understand what “democracy” means. And you know that the war is not about territory.
They are no mass graves for the “critics of the regime” in Russia on top of that.

And you know that the war is not about territory.

That's literally all it is about. But hey, if it's not about just territory, then Russia should just surrender those four oblasts it claims to have annexed, and I'm pretty sure they could reach agreement for a peace treaty otherwise.

Such as...what, exactly? Russia's definition of "Crimea" involves the "land bridge" euphemism, which basically means the four oblasts they currently claim. So what is the deal that could have been "hammered out" that Ukraine should have accepted?

Well, being an isolationist you can’t see that there is a big world and the world transcends petty American political dogmatic positions.

It is better to support America than as you and others become de facto war criminals by propagandizing the war of the defeated Russian Vladimer Putin. Hiding behind your hatred of Biden is no excuse for total unfounded and thoroughly disreputable accusations.

I’m sure that since I am not living under your rock you will yell GLOBALIST, GLOBALIST, GLOBAALIST...... most of us are not troglodytes living under rocks with no vision extending beyond our county line

Nope. I bet in 2014 Putin was even ready to accept NATO there. The whole removal of Yanukovich, language ban and the Kiev’s assualt on Donetsk was a zungzwang where Putin has to either come in full force and become an aggressor or betray the local folks subjected to genocide to be dovoured by right wingers.
Then were the Minsk accords meaning third variant where the lands remained in Ukraine in exchange for rights to the people. The person like you, allegedly worried about democracy can’t say it was wrong.

Production numbers across Russia’s vast, mostly state-owned military industrial complex remain elusive, but based on how Russia’s stockpiles were created specifically for large-scale, intense, and protracted military conflict and how Russia’s military has likewise been configured to conduct such military conflict, it is highly likely extensive preparations were also made years in advance for Russia’s military industrial complex to produce what is necessary for such military conflict.

Only time will tell just how prepared Russia was and is to sustain combat operations against the combined resources of the US and its NATO allies. What is certain is that Ukraine’s fall offensives have ground to a halt while Russian forces are now once again inching across the battlefield.

It is worth mentioning that General Zaluzhny during his Economist interview would say:

I get what I get, but it is less than what I need. It is not yet time to appeal to Ukrainian soldiers in the way that Mannerheim appealed to Finnish soldiers. We can and should take a lot more territory.

General Zaluzhny may not think it’s time to appeal to Ukrainian troops regarding their surrender to Russia as Mannerheim did to Finnish soldiers while capitulating to the Soviet Union, in the hopes that the West will provide what Zaluzhny thinks he needs to win, but it is clear that the West neither has what he needs to win, nor is making any serious preparations to acquire it.

The only hope – it appears – rests with the notion that Russia will run out of weapons and ammunition before Ukraine’s dwindling supplies are finally exhausted. It is a hope that is shaken each time a new Russian cruise missile or drone strikes Ukrainian infrastructure across the country, or each time a brand new T-90 main battle tank rumbles into the Donbass region.

Russia had zero legal right to interfere in Ukrainian politics just because there was a coup against Yanilovich, just as other countries don't have the right to invade Russia just because Russia doesn't have free and fair elections. That's not only true as a matter of basic international law, but also expressly true under the Budapest Agreement signed by Russia itself.

If Russia truly believed in democracy and self-determination the way they claim to in Ukraine, Chechnya would be independent.

In any case, Russia's invasion in February 2022 was clearly an effort to conquer and annex by force a neighboring country. There is no legal or moral justification for the misery the government has brought to tens of millions of Ukrainians and Russians.

Your views here do clear up the myth that we should blame just Putin and not the Russian people as a while for the invasion, the atrocities, etc. That's apparently just who you are.

I could have tried to accept your point if only you was as critical to Nuland and Obama who organaized the whole mess.
And no, killing people in Donbas by Kiev was a wrong move, and the main goal was to trigger the public opinion in Russia.

Regarding February, there is not enough historical perspective to judge, but I think a planned Ukrainian offensive on Donbas and Ze’s crazy nuclear talk in Munich was the case.

Regarding “land grab”, what should be the alternative once Kiev refused to reintegrate the territories according to Minsk?

Tell me again, what Milosevic did in Yugoslavia and Ukraine didn’t in Donbas. Then say what Putin did that Clinton didn’t.

Regarding the essence of the issue, everybody and their dogs know that they hate Kiev along the sea coast and east of Dniepr. More so now once Russian speakers are considered collaborators by the minority Galicians. The rest of the country, not counting Galicia, doesn’t care in which country they are going to live, but Russia is preferable based on economic opportunities.

Well, being an isolationist you can’t see that there is a big world and the world transcends petty American political dogmatic positions.

You make wild assessments with zero evidence to support your claims, which is why I call you a stupid ignorant person.

I am not an isolationist, just like I am not a Putin Supporter. What I am also not, is an interventionist in things that have no impact upon national security to our nation. George Washington warned us about the dangers of foreign entanglements:

Just as regionalism would lead to the formation of political parties, Washington believed, partisanship would open the door to “foreign influence and corruption.” While he advocated for the United States to be on good terms with all nations, especially commercial relations, he argued that “inveterate antipathies against particular Nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded.”

Is it your opinion that George Washington was an isolationist? That corruption is exactly what Ukraine is to Joe Biden, the RINOs, & the Democrats. If you had the ability to engage in critical thinking skills, no one would need to explain what the true Ukraine relationship is to the U.S., political & personal corruption.

It is better to support America than as you and others become de facto war criminals by propagandizing the war of the defeated Russian Vladimer Putin.

How exactly are you supporting the U.S.? By securing the sanctity of Ukraine's borders, while remaining rather silent about the invasion of our nation along our southern border, is certainly no help whatsoever to our nation. The damages inflicted upon our nation by the illegal invasion of our southern border are far greater than you apparently even know or understand, in both the death & destruction impacts it bring upon our country.

Supporting our engagement in this conflict, by standing with a usurper in Chief, is not only stupid, it's treasonous, because you are aiding and abetting those trying to destroy this nation. You are supporting the consumption of U.S. tax dollars & military equipment for something that has zero impact upon our national security. It's not helping our country one bit, and it actually further weakening her. This becomes even more of a detriment to our nation when you consider the fact that this nation is already in debt for more than 31 trillion dollars.

If you have children & grandchildren they are starting out life in debt, meaning you are actually negatively impacting your own family, but you are also negatively impacting my family along with the families of others.

When you add on top of that the annual cost of supporting illegal immigrants, that cost is somewhere around 250 billion per year, you are further negatively impacting each and every American citizen by your continued support of Biden, even if it's this one policy only. This whole problem is being intentionally caused by the usurper whom you are supporting and aiding in exacting even more destruction of this nation.

To make it even more obscene you want to state that us who are against the conflict are war criminals. Furthermore, you are proclaiming that Putin & Russia has been defeated. You then say I am hiding behind my hatred for Biden.

Man, not only are you a blathering idiot, you're delusional on top of it.

If Zelenskyy & Ukraine have defeated Russia why was Zelenskyy here asking for more money & weapons? Why was General Valery Zaluzhny, in an interview with the economist, basically saying that Russia is about to make their move, and that is looked dire for Ukraine if we didn't provide more money & weapons before the Russian campaign begins? You just ignore all the signals indicating that the real situation is not what is being promoted by western propaganda machines.

I’m sure that since I am not living under your rock you will yell GLOBALIST, GLOBALIST, GLOBAALIST...... most of us are not troglodytes living under rocks with no vision extending beyond our county line.

No, I still call you what you are, a useful idiot that hasn't the ability to engage in critical thinking, because you lack the skills.

With patriots like yourself and all of the ignorant cheerleaders supporting this conflict, this nation doesn't need any external forces to destroy this nation.

You certainly aren't someone I want sitting with me in a foxhole when the SHTF.

Just for the record, I am neither dwelling under a rock, nor am I a troglodyte. However, I believe you becoming a troglodyte would definitely be a major step up for you. At least they weren't useful idiots.
