Well if he said that he would be a max lair. Luckily he did not say that. He was only referring to him not having issued mandates. However He did start all that stuff with the CDC and eviction moratoriums that ruined many landlords. The states soon followed. As a business man then why would he do that?
I still like many things about Trump. He did a lot of great things. Good things no one else had the guts to do. I very likely would vote for him again. But that does not give him a free pass for his drastic mistakes. Especially when he is too arrogant to own up to them.
Also The fact that he did not issue mandates does not take away his responsibility for pushing the vaccines. Either you have some kind of mental block on that or else you are serving a professional purpose.
I tend to agree. I won’t forget the context as many seem to. They were looking for a reason to keep locking people down. First they used masks, not enough ppe. So Trump got masks and said there is no reason to lock down. Then they said well, not enough ventilators. As a response Trump got more ventilators. Then they said, well it’s too dangerous witout Vaccines so Trump got Vaccines. Mandates were not a part of Trump’s legacy no matter how many people say it is. Mandates 8s and always should be the biggest concern. By the way, the context also includes the fact that campaigning was illegal because they were worried that Trump was good at it and the Rats were going to lose in a landslide. Trump’s reasoning for Vaccines withstands scrutiny. The big mistake, if there is one, is not following his instincts the whole way and relying on the experts. Trump’s instincts said, we’ll relax things by Resurrection Sunday. He was destroyed in the media for it but this was a moment we needed Trump to stay strong and he didn’t. I don’t know that anyone else would have done better, unfortunately...maybe Trump 2015.
