Actually I did know a couple that was engaged in their senior year of college. Luckily they didn’t get married. They had gotten into an argument about something and she threw the ring at him (before graduation).
After graduation, his career did not take off as well as he had hoped - I don’t know if the argument had anything to do with his future career or not, but it was good they didn’t get married.
