🚨 JUST IN: The US Senate has voted 81-14 to block the new changes to Washington DC’s criminal code, the first time Congress has approved overturning a city’s legislation in over 20 years.
173 House Dems and 14 Senate Dems voted to support the DC crime bill.
The bill would have made punishments much lighter for:
- car jackers
- armed robbers
- violent felons
The 14 Senate Democrats that voted to support the DC reduced crime sentence bill:
