The latest update also makes it impossible to “bypass” Edge and continue using Internet Explorer. There used to be an option in Edge to turn off their “feature” where if you opened a page in IE, it would switch to opening it in Edge.

Now that option has been removed, so you have to do some real hacking if you need to continue using IE, or you would need to uninstall and go back to Windows 8 I guess.

Another excellent reminder to stay with W7.

Wife’s W10 laptop kept trying to run edgeee, and I would have to keep getting rid of it. Finally found some way to stop it and have heard no more about it.

Sounds like MS is learning from Apple how to shove things down your throat and prevent you from having any say in how your computer runs.

IE has been removed from Windows 10 and 11. Either this update or the one before. IE 11 is a buggy unsupported mess and no one should use it.
