Another thing to remember about DeSantis…he had 24 continuous years before him of Republican governors with successful accomplishments. He did not have a huge swamp to step into. If he does become our candidate I will back him and hope and pray for him however. But right now I think the only man that can do the job, because he did it once before, is Trump.
DeSantis does look nimbly wobbly these past couple of days. He might flame out altogether. So, back to leaning Trump now. It’s going to be an interesting campaign season.
I knew/suspected he would falter when he had to open his mouth about foreign policy.

America is the original gas station which still has the biggest and best pumps which it has shut down in favor of electric Teslas with no electric charging gas stations so the Tesla is stranded on the side of the road in the middle of the Mojave Desert at high noon in the middle of August with nothing but a couple of cans of diet Pepsi, a melting snickers bar and half an order petrified McDonald's french fries under the seat. On the dash is a brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max which is discharged because the upscale, woke hipster driver was using Apple car play to listen to the greatest hits of NPR, MSNBC, CNN and The View. Now there is no electricity to charge the IPhone back up to call for help so it's going to be a long hot day for the occupants. America is in the process of committing economic suicide
But the Russian gas station is parked right next to the country with the biggest need for gas and the stated goal of becoming the dominant power in the world.
As part of it's plan to become the dominant power, China is encouraging and assisting America in it's quest to commit national suicide.
The snarky McCain/Romney/ DeSantis analogy does not sound so cute and snarky when you are out of gas in the middle of the desert on a hot summer day and the thing you want and need in the worst possible way is a gas station to save your hot, sweating butt.
And the tow truck driver of the gas guzzling Chinese tow truck working for the Chinese gas station filled with the Russian gas and is pulling a tall cold one out of his ice chest and laughing his ass off at your stupidity while refusing to come out to tow you to safety.
The moral of the story - it's better to own a gas station than to be stuck in the middle of the desert on at hot summer day in a car that's out of gas.
