How did I know it didn’t involve new empirical data but yet another computer model? I spent many years working with computer models (modeling acoustic effects), and they are the epitome of “garbage in - garbage out.” A model is only as good as the input assumptions, and you can get any result you want by tweaking those assumptions.
HEY! Analyzing computer models is a whole lot easier than going out and getting cold and wet collecting REAL data. And I still get paid the same.
So I’m a slacker. Sue me.
