I wonder what percentage of public school teachers in Baltimore send their children to private schools and/or live outside areas with poor schools?
“If you support a school system that won’t teach children to read, do math, learn the simplest events in history, or understand the most ordinary facts about the world we live in, you’re guilty of child abuse.”
Sorry, don’t agree. As long as the schools that my kids go to are free and have a large football stadium, then I’ve done my job of making sure they go to good schools. The other stuff, even grooming, that’s not my problem, that’s the kids’ problem.
The military abuses teenagers all the time.
Ever tell them “No”?
That is now considered child abuse.
ping
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Strong words, but they need to be said. The education system in this country is likely beyond redemption. Any parent can do better at this point, so the argument that parents are not *trained professionals* and are not qualified to *teach* their own kids is now invalid because clearly the so-called *highly trained professionals* aren't capable of teaching the either. If they were, kids would not be being graduated from school who were functionally, illiterate.
Re: Maybe not sexual child abuse
^ ^ ^ ^ ^
In today’s transgendered school environment and daily reports of student-student and teacher-student sexual abuse, a child is indeed in serious danger.
Why would any parent send a child into this environment?
Define “abuse”. So many liberals think anything other than high praise is abusive to children. Their kid could crap on the living room rug and they would say, “Gee, I hope you can make he bathroom next time.”
Milquetoasts.
