Brooke Shields dishing on her time with John F. Kennedy Jr. in her new memoir has infuriated his sister, Caroline, RadarOnline.com has learned.
A source said Caroline is furious with Brooke for branding John Jr., a letch for complaining after she refused to put out on their first — and only — date!
The Pretty Baby babe, now 57, revealed she had a lifelong crush on JFK Jr, and was elated when he finally asked her out in the 1980s. But she claimed he “showed his true colors” when she wouldn’t tumble into bed with him, then put her in a cab and ignored her when they ran into each other the next day!
A source said 65-year-old Caroline is hot under the collar over Brooke sassing her baby bro, who died while flying a plane in 1999.

Things like that are put in books and leaked to make the books sell. Brooke probably knew Caroline would say something.
It creates interest because here we are talking about it.
Who cares? I don’t.
JFK, Jr. was also flying with a bad case of gotta-get-there-itis and the distraction of two high-maintenance female relatives aboard as passengers. The combination of IFR conditions, pilot inexperience, schedule pressure, and family aboard is asking for trouble.
I thought it was perfect too - that’s why I stole it from someone else LOL
“...The combination of IFR conditions, pilot inexperience, schedule pressure, and family aboard is asking for trouble.” [Rockingham, post 43]
Everything you posted is true.
On top of that, VFR at night overwater can become tricky even for the most experienced pilots. I’ve heard naval aviators describe nighttime carrier landings as more exciting than combat.
The currency requirement for night traps used to be once every seven days. Haven’t heard of late, what it is now.
Just to clarify, while John F. Kennedy Jr. did not have an instrument rating, pilots with Visual Flight Rules (VFR) ratings can and do fly at night. JFK Jr. flew into Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions in low clouds, ignoring the warnings of others, became disoriented, and crashed.
How many people know that the term “dish” or “dishing” was ghetto slang for “dis’” which itself was a contracted form of the word disrespect or Disrespecting?
You’re in to Carolina Kennedy fantasies?
No, Brooke Shields (as an young adult).
Linguistically, it makes no sense.
civilize = “to make civil”
demonize = “to make into a demon”
equalize = “to make equal.”
formalize = “to make formal”
So a womanizer should be someone or something that turns things into women.
The inherent problem of night and instrument flying is that a pilot has to be disciplined enough to follow the instruments and landing lights instead of his gut. And carrier landings are a form of controlled crash in even the best of circumstances.
What crap, the Clinton’s bombed his plane on a clear late afternoon because they knew he and not Kankles would be the next NY Senator if he weren’t dead... ymmv
Hilarious and accurate. Never thought of it that way!
I never thought JFK, Jr was smart enough to be flying. Personally I would never fly as a passenger of a private pilot who lacks an instrument rating!
If he'd followed the rules, and flew according to his VFR (Visual Flight Rules) certification, he'd might still be alive. But he had to be arrogant, and cocky, flew at night for which he wasn't certified, and ended up killing two people and himself.
His legacy is that he killed two people and himself because he chose to fly at night, which he wasn't trained, or certified to do.
He'd also just had a cast removed from his ankle the day before, but it was still sore, and had to rely on crutches.
I worked in New York State's prison system, in uniform for 25 years. One of the reasons they used to use for sending someone to prison was to "rehabilitate" them. Someone pointed out to me one day, that if you're going to rehabilitate someone, you take them, and return them back to their former condition. But that's not possible to do with criminals, because they were never good to begin with.
“His legacy is that he killed two people...”
I can see the scene in the here-after:
“Oh yeah Uncle Teddy - well I killed TWO people!”
.
.
In walks JFK
“Oh, hey dad, sorry - I didn’t see you there.”
