this line of research currently flies in the face of the current view of senescent cells.

that is that senescent cells give off inflammatory cytokines that encourage neighboring cells to become undead zombie cells or senescent.

the reason that hair tends to go grey in groups is that one grey hair is senescent. that senescent grey hair encourages its neighbors to go senescent or zombie.

as we age the body’s ability to rid itself of senescent or zombie cells —declines.

This accelerates the body’s decline.

That’s the current paradigm. It will take more than one research paper to break the paradigm.

The problem with senescent cells is that they stop dividing because they have accumulated epigenetic errors and telomere shortening and the transcriptase enzymes can’t read the code reliably any more. The epigenetic errors cause the cell factory to produce erroneous proteins that cause inflamation and in some cases produce cancers.
Senolytic suppliments like resveratrol and quercetin are a better way signal the cell to repair DNA damage and reduce the negative influences of senescent cells.
