Shocking video captured a 69-year-old California woman being dragged by a robber’s car as she tried desperately to prevent him from making off with her Gucci shades – later saying she’d do it all over again.
The woman was enjoying a snack as she sat in her parked red Ford Mustang on Broadway in Alameda about 3 p.m. Sunday when a white car stopped behind her and the driver walked up to her, KTVU reported.
He reached inside her vehicle, grabbed her purse – containing her pricey Gucci prescription sunglasses – and ran back to his car, according to the outlet.
But the feisty woman decided she was not going to give up without a fight – so she jumped out of her Mustang and tried to prevent the thief from driving away.

To be fair, they were really nice sunglasses.
And remember, it’s better to look good than to feel good.
Maybe she wears her “sunglasses at night.”
No they are not worth it, but being Gucci there’s no telling what she paid for them.

A number of the commenters are spot on: a quick checks shows that in 2020 Biden garnered 79.83% of the vote in Alameda County. So, statistically, this woman probably voted for the cretins who are bringing us the collapse of law and order— though that county’s also been rocky for a long time. “Situational awareness” is right. Stop and have a snack in your car if you want in downtown Oakland, but roll up the windows and lock the doors. And this little old lady taking off after the guy is just insane

A 19-year-old man has been charged in the killing of popular California bakery owner Jennifer Angel who was dragged to her death by a getaway car during a robbery gone wrong.
But her family is calling for no jail time because it “goes against her social justice beliefs”.
“Anarchist” baker Angel was robbed while in her car in the 2000 block of Webster Street, in Oakland, on February 6. The robber ran to a waiting car to flee. Angel attempted to retrieve her belongings and was knocked to the ground during a struggle, according to police.
Angel became caught in the fleeing vehicle’s door and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling off. She suffered serious head injuries as a result and was rushed to the Highland Hospital Trauma Unit but sadly died two days later.
Her loved ones said in a statement shortly after her death that she was a “social justice activist” who “did not believe in state violence, carceral punishment, or incarceration as an effective or just solution to social violence and inequity.”
Her family is “committed to pursuing all available alternatives to traditional prosecution, such as restorative justice,” the post on GoFundMe said.
The family added: “We know Jen would not want to continue the cycle of harm by bringing state-sanctioned violence to those involved in her death or to other members of Oakland’s rich community.

I see. The politicians, the police, the judges, the DAs, don’t resist criminals, why should we?

So why wasn't she wearing them? Why were they in her purse?
