Looks like they might pull it out with Zach Wilson at QB.

The Jets’ defense seems to have picked up the slack.

When Aaron Rodgers went down in the Jets’ season opener on Monday night, it sent immediate shockwaves through the football world.

Football players get hurt all the time. What is stunning about this?

BTW... Called this from the start... Rodgers wants his money... Period! He isn’t interested in playing football and he knows his legacy...

1 Super Bowl ring from 1 Super Bowl appearance. Whoop-de-doo dah day.

In league history, only 34 NFL players at all positions have continued to play into their 40s, most in backup roles.
.
Aaron Rodgers will soon turn 40, and he’s missed significant playing time for a broken collarbone, a broken thumb, and now likely a season-ending torn Achilles tendon. (His calf strain during training camp may have been an indication of a more serious issue building.)
.
Tom Brady was the exception, not the rule, of playing at a high level in the fifth decade of life. I get the impression that Rodgers is no Brady, and that his NFL career might be ending sooner than anticipated.

He had told his coach he was worried about tearing it. He is 39 years old and his body couldn’t do it anymore. The injury is not surprising at all.
