German Foreign Minister calls for Ukraine’s air defense to be strengthened before winter

Annalena Baerbock, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, has stated that Ukraine’s air defence system must be strengthened.

She called for Ukraine’s critical infrastructure to be protected during the forthcoming cold season of the year.
“So I am appealing to ourselves and to our partners: we must put a protective winter umbrella over Ukraine’s critical infrastructure,” Baerbock stressed.
To do this, she added, the IRIS-T air defense system network must be strengthened in Ukraine.
“We should encourage our partners to hand over the air defense systems they have to Ukraine for the winter season – temporarily, if needed,” Baerbock said.
Earlier Baerbock arrived in Kyiv on her fourth visit since the beginning of the Russian aggression.
She also discussed the provision of additional air defense systems to protect the Ukrainian energy system and ports with her Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba.
Baerbock also visited an electricity substation near Kyiv.

Swedish government to consider possibility of supplying Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine

The Swedish government may soon instruct the Ukrainian Armed Forces to assess conditions for transfer of Gripen fighter jets.

The request may be sent on Thursday. Among other things, the government wants to investigate how the transfer of aircraft affects Sweden’s defense capabilities and how quickly the country can get new replacement aircraft.
According to Swedish Radio’s Ekot, the Swedish Armed Forces should provide their response in November, and then the government will be able to decide whether to send Gripen to Ukraine.
The news agency notes that Kyiv is interested in obtaining a division of 16 to 18 Gripen.
BACKGROUND:
-The leader of Sweden’s largest opposition Social Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, called on the government to approve the provision of Swedish Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
-Ukrainian pilots have already started studying Swedish Gripen fighter jets. The possibility of providing these jets was discussed during President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Sweden
-However, later on, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson stated that his country itself requires Gripen fighter jets. He denied all plans to send them to Ukraine at the moment.

Coming up on two years…. Update from Ukraine is always Ukraine is winning week after week yet the war still continues. If the news of impending Ukrainian victory was true Ruzzia would be out of Ukraine long ago. That is why I don’t believe this. Never do they say that Ruzzia took over a large area and Ukraine is having mixed results pushing them back. Every day it’s Ruzzia is on the run. It doesn’t have the ring of truth to it.

Wow, just wow! So that the statement that the $101.2 BILLION spent by the US on Ukraine is merely “a drop in an ocean” is “facts being shared”?

At least the health care is targeted to Legacy Americans and not to the war mongers and Globalists.

Sucho has an update (text only, but supposedly images exist) that a Ropucha class amphibious ship is burning. I don’t know that it would be the Ukies “best” result, as I’m not sure there is much utility of a big landing craft any more. It seems unlikely it could make it to, say, Odessa, without getting popped, but, I’d still like to be a fly on the wall when Pooty gets the report.
