Aerosmith's frontman Steven Tyler is facing a more serious condition than initially believed, according to a recent report by TMZ.

Sad to hear. A lot of Aerosmith's tunes were too raunchy for me, but "Dream On" is a classic and then some.

FTA ....

TMZ reports that Tyler’s vocal cords are “mangled,” based on X-ray results. The singer had flown to Boston to consult with an ENT specialist after experiencing vocal cord bleeding during a concert in Long Island.

Doctors have now advised him not to sing for at least 30 days, putting further strain on Aerosmith’s already rescheduled tour.

Tyler’s vocal injury reportedly occurred early in a Long Island concert, yet he chose to continue performing. This decision has now led to a more severe condition, leaving him unable to even speak properly.

Sources to TMZ say Tyler “squeaks” when attempting to talk.

Pack it up, dude. You had a good run. You should've been dead 40 years ago.

Thanks for the great tunes!

While I loved Aerosmith as a teen, this guy is SEVENTY FIVE YEARS OLD and should’ve hung it up DECADES ago.

What DRIVES ‘entertainers’ to these extremes? Do they have NOTHING else in their lives to make them happy?

I’ll never understand it.

P.S. You gals from ‘80 for Brady’ need to hang it up, too. ;)

Don’t care if he’s a jerk. He’s a singer/artist, what do you expect? It’s not like he’s a rocket scientist.

Why Kix is Calling It Quits This Month

Kix will play their final show this month — and according to vocalist Steve Whiteman, not a moment too soon.

The Maryland rockers are set to end a 45-year career with a Sept. 17 hometown gig at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia. “I don’t want to go out sucking — I want to go out being pretty good,” Whiteman said on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk (via Blabbermouth). “But age takes its toll,” he added, citing drummer Jimmy Chalfant’s 2021 heart attack and subsequent onstage collapse last November as contributing factors.

“There are nights, out of the past couple of years, where I’ve come offstage just humiliated because I can’t sing ‘Don’t Close Your Eyes’ like I used to, or I can’t sing ‘Cold Blood,’” Whiteman added. “These are the songs that the fans are out there waiting for. And that’s when I started to think I don’t want to do this if I can’t do it well anymore.”

They had already passed their peak by the time I saw them in ‘77 at the L.A. Forum. Show was short, and Tyler was drunk. But their mid ‘70s studio output was outstanding.

Viagra is for regular dudes.

Rock stars have had hard lives, but no one in the “normal” world wants to talk about it, which is fine, but being on the road for months on end and performing so often wears a body down. So how do they get “up” every day and perform? They take drugs.

Think about Michael Jackson and Prince. They have to take shitty drugs to help them be “on” as often as their fans want them to be.

I don’t envy one person in the music industry. Very cutthroat. More than becoming a doctor is cutthroat.
