Sasha Obama made the most of her downtime on Thursday while enjoying a coffee and a book at a café in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old, who graduated from the University of Southern California last spring, was spotted dropping off her car in a parking lot before heading to Stories Books & Cafe in Echo Park.
Sasha showed off her bohemian style in a pair of baggy Dickies overalls, which she wore over a cropped white shirt and cherry-printed shorts that peeked out from the side.
Her long micro braids were loose around her shoulders, and she accessorized her look with statement jewelry and a pair of Nike Dunk Low sneakers.
Sasha had an oversized canvas bag slung over her shoulder, but she opted to carry her headphones and cellphone while walking through the parking lot.
Once inside the much-loved local bookstore and café off Sunset Boulevard, she grabbed a coffee and sat down at a table by herself.
Barack and Michelle Obama's youngest daughter put her headphones on and leaned back in her chair while reading her book, the title of which was not visible.
Sasha moved to Los Angeles last year after transferring from the University of Michigan to USC to finish college.
The former first daughter graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in sociology, but her next moves remain unknown.

To me that is one ugly outfit! It would be one thing if she were doing manual labor, but that is the farthest thing from her privileged life.
Agreed. Not our business, really. So what if she's not fashionable? I'll refrain from making silly statements about her (and one poster made a comment on this thread that's borderline racist).

Even Chelsea Hubble generally keeps her mouth shut. If she runs for office that’s another thing. But, until then she has a right to her opinion, even if it’s wrong.
One of the few things Obama did I agreed with was to curse at reporters who tried to talk to him while he was taking his daughters trick-or-treating the Halloween before he was elected. He told them, in quite salty fashion, that his daughters were off limits.
The only things missing is the stake bed 1 ton truck and the dozen eggs in her hand.
Give her a break. At least she isn’t dressing provocative like so many of the young girls today.
Statement jewelry is a large, unique piece that stands out. Anyone who sees it knows it belongs to you. If done right, it will be tasteful, elegant, and draw knowing looks.
Unlike the nouveau riche that slap bling on everything including their teeth, old money goes for simplicity. For ladies: stud earrings, necklace, bracelet, watch, wedding ring and maybe another ring on the other hand (typically an heirloom). Usually the necklace, bracelet, or ring are the statement piece - but not all at the same time, that’s tacky!
You would never see someone like Melania Trump blinged out like a gangster. She wears her engagement ring, wedding band, eternity ring, and an occasional bracelet. When she dresses up, her diamond studs take center stage.
Some of the young women buy faux pieces hoping for the same effect. Very few can pull it off.

I think we should be generally leaving the kids along. If they turn criminal, like Hunter, that’s different. Otherwise, ignore them, let them live their lives, good or bad, in peace.
I say leave the girl alone. Unless she’s bringing communism or depraved wokeness to our country it’s none of my business what she wears!
