The question should be: what is in it for the United States?
No Nations have “Friends” only interests. Time for NATO to be replaced with a new organization. How about the “Anglo Sphere” Alliance of all English speaking nations?

Once of the great benefits of having the US leave NATO is not having to pay attention to the incessant nattering of overbearing Eurotwats like yourself.
